1ST ANNUAL ALS 3V3 BALL HOCKEY TOURNAMENT - MENS BALL HOCKEY (18+) 

The Real Talk ALS BC non-profit organization is excited to host its 1st Annual ALS 3v3 Ball Hockey Tournament on Saturday, July 6th, 2024 at Centennial Arena, White Rock. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) research and support. All team fees and donations will be directed towards ALS BC and Project Hope.

Participants and volunteers will enjoy free food organized by Real Talk ALS BC members. This tournament provides a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a fun day of hockey, and support families affected by ALS. Join us in our mission to raise awareness and contribute to the search for a cure.

GAME FORMAT:

3v3 Ball Hockey Tournament

● PLEASE WEAR THE SAME JERSEYS or BRING BOTH WHITE & BLACK SHIRTS

● 10 players per team (including the goalie, 9 players, 1 goalie)

● 2-minute warm-ups (we suggest warming up outside of the rink)

● 2 periods - 10 minute periods (1 minute halftime, total game 20 minutes running time)

● Round Robin Games can end in a tie, Playoffs will end with a shootout

● Penalties = Penalty shots

● If the goalie covers the ball, that team will retain possession behind their net

● Out of bounds - Faceoff in the middle

● Rink will be split at the bluelines to create two game sheets.  (Two games will be played at once.)

● No offsides or icings

● Will not tolerate aggressive or harmful behavior - automatically suspended from the tournament and future ALS Ball Hockey or Sporting Tournaments

● Centennial Parking has parking meters, make sure to be aware of that. It’s not worth getting an $80 parking ticket.
